Ten inch saws allow you to slice pieces of rough up to about 3 inches in thickness into slabs. Generally, the harder and denser the material being cut, the thicker the blade, because the extra blade thickness helps increase cutting speed.

Cutting slabs of the same thickness is a little tricky. Each revolution of the crank moves the rock 1/16", but the vise shifts a lot when tightened down. The coolant tank pulls right out, which makes changing coolants and cleaning the saw relatively easy. When lifting the table top to change blades or to clean the sump, oil spills over the back on to the motor. |

The 10TS-B is similar solid construction of the old Highland Park saws. It's made from solid aluminum castings and has a 5/8" stainless steel shaft. |

Barranca TS-101 Trim Saw:

The TS-101 saw has a heavy duty 1-1/2 horse power motor. The TS-101 saw isset up to work with water. It quickly trims slabs and small workpieces. The TS-101 saw can also be used for slabbing. A water pump comes with TS saws. It pumps the coolant right on the blade where it's needed. |
